Kära YSP:are,
Inför oss står inte bara ett nytt år, men ett helt nytt decennium. Och inte vilket decennium som helst. För hållbarhet ett helt avgörande decennium. Om tio år ska vi ha uppfyllt de globala målen för hållbar utveckling. Inom mindre än tio år behöver vi se de globala utsläppen av växthusgaser vända drastiskt nedåt. Vi behöver ställa om det globala systemet så att vi långsiktigt och tillsammans med alla andra arter kan fortsätta bebo vårt hem jorden.
Det är ingen liten uppgift, men vi kan och vi blir allt fler som vill lägga vår tid och energi på detta. Ensam är inte stark – hållbarhet är en lagsport. Och ett bra lag blir vi genom att lära oss mer, lära känna varandra och jobba mot samma mål oavsett bransch eller organisation. Låt oss kicka igång detta hållbarhetens årtionde med att i glada YSP:ares lag ta ett glas eller två och blicka framåt mot allt vi ska åstadkomma de kommande tio åren. 2020-talet här kommer vi!

Dear YSP:ers,
Ahead of us isn’t just another year, but a brand new decade.
And not just any decade. For sustainability, it is a crucial decade.
In ten years we should have achieved all 17 of the sustainable development goals. Within less than ten years, we must see a drastic drop in the global emissions of greenhouse gases. To be able to inhabit this planet together with all other species in the long run, we need to change our system.
This is no small task, but we can do it. Each day there are more and more of us that want to dedicate our time, energy and professional lives to this cause. But we can’t do this alone. Sustainability is a team effort. So let us kick start this decade of sustainability by enjoying a drink (or two) with fellow YSP:ers and look ahead to all that we are going to accomplish in the next ten years. 2020’s here we come!
